New Zealand feature film success comes down to the crucial box office numbers on opening weekend. We created the right level of anticipation, expectation and interaction to encourage people to see Taika Waititi’s film.

We took the social media and sponsorship leverage to another level, designing and building a strategic online engagement campaign with project partners Air New Zealand, DOC, Forest and Bird, Swazi, Tuatara, Kiwibank, Phantom, Trade Me and the New Zealand Defence Force to get the country talking. And talk they did.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople won Best Independent Marketing Campaign at the 2016 NZ Motion Picture Industry Council Awards and the Largest Opening Weekend of a NZ feature film. It currently sits as the highest grossing NZ movie of all time.
